Project Overview:

Calibrate combines coaching, medication management, and curriculum to provide a holistic approach to weight loss. Their internal Pharmacy team utilized multiple different clunky systems to manage member medications. To streamline this process to increase medication management efficiency, Calibrate set out to build its own internal Prescription Record tool.

Objectives: 

  • Identify quick wins for the Phase One shipped tool

  • Validate that Phase Two high-fidelity designs contained all necessary functionality and critical information needed by various different user roles

  • Validate usability across two main tasks to be performed within the prescriptions table 


Methodology:

  • Heuristic Evaluation

  • Qualitative User Interviews

  • Moderated Usability Testing


Heuristic Evaluation:

  • Selected the Heuristic Evaluation method as a quick way to evaluate the existing tool. 

  • Synthesized evaluations from three stakeholders to develop a prioritized list of Heuristic Violations with recommendations for how to mitigate


Qualitative User Interviews:

  • Developed qualitative moderation script for design feedback sessions

  • Sourced, scheduled, and moderated sessions with users

  • Synthesized sessions and shared out research insights & recommendations with stakeholders




Moderated Usability Testing:

  • Developed Usability Test plan and moderation script

  • Sourced, scheduled, and moderated sessions with users

  • Synthesized sessions and shared out usability test analysis & recommendations with stakeholders
